A Tea for Three

Alright, so I know I’m constantly gushing about how much I love my clients. I know it probably gets old. I’m sorry. Really. But I honestly do have some of the most wonderful, amazing clients that make me feel like the luckiest girl in the world on a daily basis.

Lynne and I met through a session I did for the Westfield 4-K – she was there helping me wrangle 40 little {excited} 4-Kers, haul ladders around; I basically couldn’t have done the shoot without the help from her and several other room moms. I was excited when she contacted me several months later to do a shoot with her three precious little girls and we quickly settled on the theme of a “Teddy Bear Tea Party.”

Now I can’t go any further without explaining that I’ve actually known Lynne’s house longer than I’ve known her. Lynne and her husband have such a gorgeous home. I think it’s no secret that I’m a house fanatic. As I explained in a previous post, I spend most of my free time riding around various towns looking at and photographing old homes. My boyfriend, Tom, knows how much I love houses and since he farms some land near where Lynne and her family live, he suggested we ride by their home one day several years back.

Well, consider me hooked. Each time we’d drive through the bustling town of Marshallville, we’d make a detour to see “my home.” I think Tom ended up regretting showing me the house because it always added 20 minutes plus to our trip! I’d ask a million questions: “Who lives there?” “Can we find out?” “I wonder if they’d think I was weird if I walked up and asked for a tour?”

Fast forward to the day of our shoot – when I look up from my GPS and realize I’m right outside of none other than “MY HOME,” the home I’ve ridden by for years, drooled over, and wondered about. Lynne was so humble and even gave me a tour of the place as we gushed for an hour about our favorite decor, furniture, and every other topic under the sun. I adore her. Ever heard of a “soul-sister?” Well, Lynne is mine. She’s an incredible mom with a love for her children that made me tear up as I edited these photos. I had the best time and my poor boyfriend and family still, almost 3 weeks later, have to hear all about the house, her precious little girls, and what a blast we had at the tea-party.

Lynne, you made my entire year. Your creativity and passion for this shoot made it one of my favorite sessions to date. You are one of the most fun-loving people I’ve ever met and you have no idea (even though I attempted to tell you 100+ times) how much I enjoyed my tour and our time together. Your girls are such blessings; each unique and beautiful in their own way. You’re an amazing person and I’m so happy our paths finally crossed.
