Ansley & Ben: Married | Pineview, Georgia

Someone once told me that the Lord creates places on this earth where we feel closer to Him. I’ve found this to be true so many times as I’ve grown – places that calm my heart and give me glimpses of how life should be and what eternal life will be like. These are places that can inspire you to open your heart without fear of being hurt, to love freely without expecting something in return, and to remain selfless, always putting others’ needs before yours. After spending time with Ansley Smith, now Mrs. Ansley Bailey, I now know that there are also people on this earth that, when in their presence, we feel closer to Him.

Ansley, you inspire me more than anyone I’ve ever met. The way you care for others, the way you love the Lord, your passion for life, the smile that never leaves your face – you are one of a kind. As I sit here writing this, with tears streaming down my face, I feel so lucky to have witnessed and captured such a sacred thing. There are moments from your wedding day that are etched in my heart forever – watching the video that some of the children you ministered to in South Africa made for your wedding day, the bond that you have with your family in South Africa, the hug Ben gave you when he first saw you in your dress, the prayer just between you and Ben during the ceremony, the way your eyes would light up whenever a child would come up to you for a hug. Just as he is lucky to have you, you are lucky to have Ben; the way he looks at you and the way he cares for his family – as reserved as he can be, it’s so easy to see his genuine soul and his pure heart.

You both are lights in this world. You both have had such an impact on me. Thank you for letting me be there.
