This session is so special because we began the shoot by photographing Anna Belle and Molly in the wedding dress their Mama wore 10 years ago when she married her husband, Will. These girls were so much fun to chase around the farm and photograph and after a few reschedules thanks to the flood of ’13, we couldn’t have been blessed with better weather.

From my first meeting with Hannah, I admired her cute sense of style and loved the ideas she shared with me about her July 2014 wedding. I was over-the-moon with excitement when she contacted me a few days later and told me that she’d love for me to be the photographer. Hannah & Chris’ engagement session was so easy: their playfulness with each other, their perfect outfit choices, and the yummy sunset we had that night combined to make it one of the most effortless shoots to date and I’m so honored to be a tiny piece of their big story.

I spent a rainy afternoon with these three a few weeks ago. By the time we were through, poor Emma Reese was crying and begging to stay – which would’ve been fine by me. I think I could use the help around here. ;-) Enjoy these photos of three sweet cousins.

“I will love. More. So much love that no one will have any idea what to do with me. They will watch with a confused look and wonder why I give so much and do not ask for more in return. I will give it because giving is getting and there is nothing quite so important as emptying your heart every single day and leaving nothing undone, no declaration of it unsaid.

I will not only stop and smell the flowers, I will plant them myself and watch them grow old with me. I will pull over and dance in every single rainfall, and I will make snow angels even when there is hardly any snow left for the wings.

I will never, ever believe the words “too late” because it is never too late to be exactly who you wish, do exactly what you should, say exactly what needs to be heard, and live the exact life you should be living.”

This session was a gentle reminder of one of my favorite quotes. So blessed by this family.

We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful evening to shoot Chip & Audrey’s engagement session. With the monsoon season apparently in full swing, I have been rescheduling sessions left and right. The air was muggy, yet with a gentle breeze that kept the gnats and mosquitos at bay. Tryphena’s Garden was in full-bloom and didn’t disappoint with locations to photograph a precious couple. One of my favorite things about Chip and Audrey as a couple is the fact that they smile with their eyes. Their love is apparent in the way they laughed with each other constantly during the session, their shy smiles, the bear hugs and hand-holding that took place during the session. I love this couple – they seem so content just being together – and I can’t wait to capture their love again during their wedding.

These are just a select few of my favorites from Amanda & Jacob’s engagement session. We shot on probably the hottest day we’ve had yet in Middle Georgia, but they were such troopers. I couldn’t get over how naturally beautiful Amanda was or the way Jacob seemed completely head over heels for her, even after several years of dating. I adore this couple and I’m so honored to be shooting their wedding later this year.

As much as I love chasing kiddos around, it’s always nice to slow down and photograph a gorgeous set of soon-to-be-parents. <3

Sean & Patricia were so much fun to photograph – I loved how they arrived full of their own props and ideas that perfectly showcased their fun-loving personalities. I’d have to say that my favorite prop was their precious pug, Dobby, who was the perfect gentleman during the entire shoot. I’m so looking forward to their sure-to-be-amazing wedding in Savannah next year, but for the meantime, here are a few of my favorites from their engagement session a few weeks ago!

I adore this girl. I babysat Lauren and her sister, Kendall, during the summer of my sophomore year of high school. Being the morning person I am {cough, cough}, Lauren and Kendall would shake me awake each morning when they got out of bed to start a day full of snacking on Cheeze-Its, walks around the neighborhood, fort-building, and watching movies. My nickname became “Ashlee Depp,” coined from my then-love of Johnny Depp. To this day, I haven’t lived my nickname down, as Lauren and Kendall still call me Ashlee Depp! Lauren is one of the most genuinely sweet people that I know; she’s also a tremendous flute-player. We wandered around the countryside a few weeks back and came back with a card-full of images of this beautiful girl! Enjoy!
