Answers to your most frequent questions…

I’ve booked my session, but don’t know what to wear?

This is by far the most popular question I get asked. When considering an outfit, keep the time of year in mind. Bright hues look nice during the Summer. Mustard yellows, burnt oranges, burgundy, and hunter greens look nice during the Fall. Most importantly, wear something you’re comfortable in. It’s easy to tell through photographs when you’re feeling insecure because your jeans are too tight or skirt too short. Wear something that reflects your personality and sense of style.

Where do your shoots take place?

I am primarily a natural light photographer, which means I shoot 95% of my sessions outdoors. I have locations in the Perry area, Butler area, and Fort Valley area available for sessions. I am also more than happy to come to you if you have a location in mind. A travel fee is not added for locations within 35 miles from Perry, GA.

Do you provide “props” for sessions?

I do, but I can’t stress enough how important pre-planning is for your shoot. Does your child have a favorite toy? A favorite hobby? Consider bringing items that are important to your family or that you’d just like to be photographed with.

How long does editing take?

Depending on the time of year, editing can take anywhere from 2 to 5 weeks for a session. Please allow up to 6 weeks for a wedding to be completed. Sessions are edited in the order that they were shot. Rush editing is available for a fee.

 How long do shoots last?

A full session lasts up to 2 hours. Of course, time depends on how willing the subjects are. I’ve found that offering kids a treat for good behavior during the shoot helps tremendously. After your photo session wraps up, why not take them for an ice-cream or to see a movie? Mini Sessions last up to 35 minutes and are perfect for a family wanting a few shots for Christmas cards or if you’re just wanting to capture several photos of this stage of your child’s life.

What happens if it rains?

Because real life doesn’t happen in a studio, almost all of my shoots take place outdoors. Rain can become a problem, especially during the Spring and Summer. In the case that it rains, the session will be rescheduled in a timely manner for no extra charge.

When do I pay for my photos?

Full payment is due at the time of the session. Photos cannot be mailed until the full payment is received.

Do you have any printing sites to recommend?

When printing your photos from the session, I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from pharmacy developers or large distributors like Wal*Mart. Consider uploading your photos to mpix.com and ordering from their website.
